The Washington Wizards used to be called the Washington Bullets. You might think the former name was better. Hell, maybe it was. But it was changed for good reason. Former team owner Abe Pollin lost his close friend and, then Prime Minister of Israel, when violence erupted at a peace rally in Tel Aviv. He decided four days later to change the name. Saying that his friend was “shot in the back”, Pollin told the world that the Bullets name was out.
That’s kind of a badass tribute. The Wizards are the only team on the NBA roster that was named, in part, with the help of phone voters. This is literally your team. Don’t take shit from people who don’t appreciate the Wizards. Tell them you don’t give a fuck in style with this unisex IDGAF t-shirt.
